After spending the past few weeks totally addicted to documentaries of all themes and niches, (I really should post and write about those too) but being more closely interested in ones circling the theme of environmental impact from people, it’s becoming apparent the weather around us is going to be quite different in a generation or two. Anyway, here is a little article from the June 2009 issue of Consumer Reports . From the article:
Close to half of Americans say global warming threatens their future well-being and safety, according to a 2008 survey by researchers at George Mason University. Increasingly, evidence shows they’re right. Here are some climate-related problems you’re apt to hear more about in coming years and how to limit their effects…
Consumer Reports went on to talk about that climate change-related problems such as allergies and asthma, insect-borne diseases, poison ivy, heat-related illness, and mental health will escalate, and more importantly, how to limit their effects!
And when it comes to the effects of global warming on the different regions within the United States, here is what the American Public Health Association is predicting!
