Volkswagen and Porsche both have a elaborate history of making great vans for sale or classy sports cars, they have always had a close partnership, And, even today, the Volkswagen Touareg and Porsche Cayenne are built off the same platform so it should seem right that they are merging into one to survive, what will the result be?
Not too long ago, Porsche borrowed big to try and take over VW. At the time it seems like a sound financial move, as Porsche had a strong capital backing. But then the economic collapse hit, and hit hard. Porsche backing capital evaporated overnight, and Porsche’s heads didnt look too clever anymore, the river of easy capital they were relying on to aggressively take over VW had dried up.
This could mean exciting new Porsche inspiration for vans giant? Or, the time van hire standard be re-badged as a Porsche.
