Broadband survey to highlight access problems in Devon

A survey to be carried about by a broadband and mobile broadband specialist in Devon in order to find out what problems businesses and consumers have with their broadband connections will soon be releasing their findings.

The survey will be conducted by Devon County Council and is designed to determine what issues are affecting broadband users in terms of speed and reliability.

Speaking to the website, Bob Page, Managing Director of local company Tarpaflex, welcomed the news, and went on to say..

“Our firm relies on a satellite connection that provides a means to an end, but in the long term something which delivers better access will be necessary. Businesses in the region need to have “reliable internet access” in order to succeed commercially.”

“Far better would it be for rurally-based businesses like ours to have decent broadband or access to pay as you go mobile broadband with internet access that would allow them to operate efficiently and to compete effectively,” Mr Page added.
