In a new attempt for helping the expansion and knowledge of broadband services Ofcom has published a new guide aimed at helping those who are purchasing new broadband and Mobile Broadband services.
The three page short guide Entitled Choosing Your Broadband Service, plans to give consumers more knowledge and confidence when choosing the different types of service available and the prices involved.
It also goes on to explain such things consumers will have questions about, paying a regular subscription fee as well as a one-off instalment charge and also describing usage limits and data capping and how this can have an impact on what users can do online with their connection.
Announcing the guide on its official website, Ofcom said: “We’ve … put together a guide on what to consider when signing up for a broadband or pay as you go mobile broadband deal. It explains how a range of factors such as price, availability and quality of customer service need to be considered when making your choice.”
